The Hanstholm Lighthouse was built in 1843 as the first lighthouse on the west coast of Jutland, and—except during the war years—its light has been shining every night ever since. For a number of years, it was even the world’s brightest lighthouse, playing a vital role in maritime navigation.

Charlotte Boje H. Andersen talks about the lighthouse’s function and history—and about the people and life at and around the lighthouse.

Location: Hillerslev Confirmation Hall, Skovstedvej 4, Hillerslev.

Price: 25 kr. for members of the lecture association,

50 kr. for others.
